fund distribution overviewThe United Way of Guelph & Wellington provides funding to programs delivered by registered charitable organizations which address social service issues in the community. The process of allocating dollars to community programs is a challenging task – every year, funding requests exceed the amount of money available for distribution. This challenge falls to the Fund Distribution volunteers, who review the applications, visit program sites, examine community need assessments and recommend funding levels. The volunteer-driven allocation process ensures that every dollar is distributed to where it will do the most good. |
