- Community Service Order: Provides the opportunity for offenders to remain in the community rather than be sentenced to custody. An agency placement is arranged and is based on the offender's time available, interests, skills and abilities. - Early Start Family Literacy: Offers Read-Ins for parents/caregivers and children from birth to six years. The free Read-In programs are facilitated by certified Early Childhood Educators. Each session lasts for two hours and begins with a story time where the facilitator reads books, tells stories, does rhyming games, songs and movements with parents and children together. The facilitator can assist families to connect to other services and programs in the city, to share information about developmental concerns or to suggest inexpensive ways parents can promote early learning in the home. Each site has a collection of books for children and books on parenting issues. Program Allocation: $10,000
- Educational Supports for Disadvantaged Adults: Provides training, resources and counselling supports to enhance learning opportunities and stabilize basic needs for adults with major learning barriers. Program Allocation: $39,700

- Match Program: Children are matched with a screened adult volunteer of the same gender for a safe, supportive mentoring friendship. Program Allocation: $72,960
- Group Program: Serves boys and girls who are on the waiting list for a Big Brother or Big Sister. It also serves children who need a positive male/female role model and peer interaction. Each group has a designated leader and several other dedicated volunteers, and is comprised of a number of girls or boys within a specific age range. The volunteers plan and supervise at least two outings each month, picking up the children and and driving them to their group outings. Program Allocation: $29,417
- Teen Group Program Offers a pre-teen group and a teen group who meet regularly in a safe environment to learn about and discuss issues relevant to them and to their situation, such as peer relations, abuse prevention, conflict management, and communication skills. Program Allocation: $12,828.
- In-School Mentoring Program Coordinated in partnership with local school boards, the In-School Mentoring (ISM) program provides the opportunity for volunteers (mentors) to develop a one-to-one friendship with a child. This is a program that takes place at the child’s school, during the school year. It’s not about homework - this is not an academic program. It focuses on encouraging friendships and building self-esteem through activities such as crafts, games, sports, or reading. A mentor spends at least one hour per week with a child. Program Allocation: $12,000

- Information Services & Community Development: Information and education are provided regarding hearing loss and deafness through presentations, displays, community consultations and workshops for seniors, employers and the public. Program Allocation: $9,041
- Hearing Care Counselling Program: Provides communication and hearing support services to individuals 55 years of age and older with an acquired hearing loss, to enable them carry out daily living activities independently and with reduced communication difficulties. Services include one-to-one counselling with a focus on communication strategies, prevention of hearing loss, and use of technical devices. Hearing Help is offered to teach lip reading, speech reading, and to encourage self-help and mutual aid. Program Allocation: $7,350

- Counselling and Referral Service: A rehabilitation team assists clients and their families in adjusting to vision loss and the frustrations that can occur. An independent rehabilitation plan is developed and referrals are made to the CNIB rehabilitation specialists as well as community services as needed. Program Allocation: $4,962
- Orientation and Mobility Instruction: Professional instructors give individual instruction to develop independent travel skills and white cane technique. The focus is on being able to move around safely and independently at home, at work and in the community. Program Allocation: $4,962
- Rehabilitation Training: The program teaches practical skills for daily living that help clients maintain independence, such as skills for meal preparation, organization and labelling and personal management. Braille and keyboarding instruction are also available. Program Allocation: $4,962
- Library Services: This program provides people with access to information available to sighted people in print. People can select books in tape format, print/Braille books, Braille music scores and descriptive videos; for example, a sighted parent may order print/Braille books so that they can read along with their child who is blind. Program Allocation: $4,962

- Disaster Services: Volunteers provide the community of Guelph and Wellington with presentations on how to prepare for an emergency or disaster such as a fire, tornado, flood, or chemical spill. Also provides emergency short-term relief in major disasters; assistance consists of food, clothing, shelter and reuniting of families. Program Allocation: $7,500
- Meals on Wheels - Guelph: Provides hot nutritious meals delivered to the door between 11am and 12:30pm, Monday - Saturday, including holidays. Service also provides a daily check on client's well-being. Each meal consists of a soup, hot entrée and a dessert. Accommodation for special needs diets is available. Private Recipes and Entree Plus frozen meals are also available. Program Allocation: $12,000
- Home Health Care Equipment Service: Home healthcare equipment is loaned to clients on a temporary basis for up to three months. A variety of aids, such as walkers, wheelchairs, and commodes are available. Program Allocation: $12,000
- RespectED: An abuse prevention program for youth, as well as for adults who work with youth, which addresses issues of emotional, physical, sexual abuse and neglect, why it happens and where to go for help. Interactive workshops are available to schools and youth-serving organizations. Bullying and peer harassment workshops are also available. Program Allocation: $13,050

The Neighbourhood Groups are non-profit groups consisting of dedicated community members helping to support children, families and adults by providing social, recreational, and educational programs, as well as acting as resources to help link people to other community agencies. Each group offers different programs and activities. A sampling of which includes: emergency food; clothing closet; personal and family counselling; pre-school play groups; family literacy programs; after-school programs for youth; youth drop-in programs; and summer day camps. Weekly after-school programs for youth consist of sports, games, arts and crafts, nutritious snacks, special events and guest speakers. The youth learn leadership skills, ownership, and develop respect for others, their school, and their neighbourhood.

- Sexual Assault Centre: Offers support and provides confidential counselling to women 16 years of age and older who have been sexually assaulted, harassed and/or are survivors of childhood sexual abuse/incest. Support is also available to family and friends of survivors. Also provide accompaniments to hospital, court and police as well as court preparation. Public education and training is available upon request to increase community awareness and commitment in responding to sexual violence. Program Allocation: $15,469
- Rural Women's Support Program: Provides confidential assistance to women and their children living in Wellington county who are or have been in abusive relationships, or who are survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault or harassment. Transportation may be arranged whenever needed, as well as accompaniment to police, court, hospital, lawyer's office, and the shelter. Advocacy and referrals to other community agencies are provided, as well as housing, legal, financial and custody information. The rural offices are located in Palmerston, Fergus, Erin and Rockwood and can be accessed directly or through the toll free line. Program Allocation: $31,202
