Congratulations to Cargill Meat Solutions and Gunn Metal Stampings Inc.
Congratulations to the winners of two awards presented at this year’s Guelph Chamber of Commerce’s Awards of Excellence:
 The 2006 Campaign of the Year was presented to Cargill Meat Solutions. Cargill’s campaign saw a 132% increase in dollars raised over the previous year. They held employee and leadership presentations to reach every employee, which generated 192 new donors. Cargill generously matched every dollar their employees raised, bringing them to a final total of $151,000. United Way is fortunate to have such a strong community partner in Cargill and looks forward to working with them in the future.
The United Way of Guelph & Wellington was pleased to present the 2007 President’s Campaign Award to Gunn Metal Stampings Inc. For over 15 years of hosting workplace campaigns, this organization has shown exemplary support of the United Way through their outstanding participation rates and exceptional corporate support. Through their 2006 campaign, Gunn Metal increased their contribution by 25% and had an outstanding 82% participation rate. Each year, CEO Jim Robinson, creates a culture which fosters dedication and enthusiasm by allowing his employees to participate in informational presentations and hosting a celebratory Steak BBQ at the end of each campaign. Employee Campaign Coordinator, Evy Robbins’s commitment to the campaign shows what is possible when you have strong and dedicated volunteers. Exemplified through their outstanding support of the United Way, Gunn Metal Stampings Inc. are true leaders in the Guelph community.
