Blount Canada Ltd. and its employees have been an instrumental leader in our community for many years. Blount employees have participated in the United Way Campaign since the 1970s. In the last five years alone they have raised an outstanding $305,000 for the community of Guelph & Wellington.
Each year, the United Way committee holds presentations for all of the employees to learn about the United Way funded agencies. The corporation supports these presentations, in addition to providing a corporate donation to United Way.
"We believe that the annual United Way Campaign is the most effective way that we can financially support the increasing social needs in our community and become a stronger community," said Eugene Kraemer, HR Manager at Blount. "When the United Way funded program representatives address Blount employees about the programs that deliver vital services, we see, hear and learn about community needs and the support that is available to all of us when we need it."
