It seems as though trucks aren’t the only thing built at Hitachi… they have been building the community for over 16 years!
Since their United Way support began, loyal donors continue to champion social service provision in Guelph & Wellington County through their annual United Way campaign. As far back as our electronic records go, Hitachi employees, led by supportive Senior Management, have raised over $187,000!
The impact of this leadership in social responsibility is hard to overestimate. Clearly, through the growing number of programs supported by this funding (see funded agencies and programs under fund distribution at www.unitedwayguelph.com), our community has been strengthened by their loyal giving for close to two decades.
CEO Walter Fox welcomes their annual campaign. He notes, "Hitachi Construction Truck Manufacturing Ltd., as a significant employer in the Guelph area, has a commitment to the community and we are very proud of our employees for the way they have given back to the community through their donations in support of the United Way Campaign over the past years."
